We just had our 30 year old gas fireplace replaced with a new Valor fireplace. It looks great and is a vast improvement in appearance over our previous Faber. It’s summer now and not fireplace weather, but we have no doubts about it being a great addition for fall and winter. Thanks to my first contact Liz who was highly recommended to me by a colleague and answered my initial questions. Also, thanks to Jason who came out, assessed the situation and gave use our quote and was patient as we changed our minds several times throughout the selection process. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our 60 year old wood burning fireplace upgraded with the Valor insert by our new friends at RE MacDonald .  Jason came out and made sure the insert would fit.  Spoiler alert .. it did!
The quote we got was significantly better than other quotes so we went ahead. Once we signed the contract the whole job got done in under 2 weeks and more happy we could not be.
Jarrod did our install and he was a joy to have him in the house. We have never had a contractor who was more capable and careful and respectful than Jarrod.
When we initially took this project on we were concerned that “the look” of our vintage fireplace would be degraded.  We are so happy to report that the look we have now is so much better than what we had previously.
